Default Newspaper Pots for Starting Seeds

I found information on how to make these newspaper pots. Wondering if anyone has used these and how they worked? I really would be interested in trying these out this year, but would like to hear if anyone had luck with these. Thanks!

Works GREAT. Just pop the entire Newspaper pot into the ground when ready. Biodegradable.

I mentioned this in another thread about newspaper pots, but personal we had some minor issues with them last year.

We found that the paper wicked out moisture from the soil itself. This year when mixing our potting medium we added water to the soil and then filled the pot. Yes, a bit messier filling the pots with wet "soil". Then we put them into a plastic tray and bottom water. But having the "soil" wet to start with is working much better this year over last.

Other than that, they work just fine.

I made these pots for the first time this year! They were very easy to make and I love the frugalness of using up free newspapers rather than buying biodegradable pots. If they work this year, I'm sure I'll continue to make and use them.
