about a month ago someone posted a link on how to make the newspaper pots...it was a video and there was a lady on a back patio making these pots from a glass...
it was not a thread...just a post to an ongoing thread...and i have searched and searched for it and cannot find it....
i NEED it...! please ! it was a great explanatory video and i thought i remembered how to do it but my pots fall apart when i remove the glass (her's did not)....
does anyone else remember it ? or maybe you were the one who posted it ? help............

i saw that one but there is one that is super easy...you just roll the glass around the paper and then fold...but i seem to have missed a step in the folding process.... it takes like 5 seconds to make each one.... if we can find the video...you'll love it ! i promise...or your money back...haha...

ooo, I was watching the video. Be VERY careful using a glass with that much pressure. My Mum had to have stitches once from scrubbing a glass, she stuck her hand into it & it shattered & cut the webbing between her thumb & forefinger. Maybe use a heavy plastic one or a mason jar?

Just a word to the wise... the paper will wick the moisture out of the soil in your new pot. I would whole heartedly recommend wetting the soil before adding it to the pot and then keep the pots in a plastic tray and add water to the bottom of the tray and let the water wick up.
The first year we just added the soil and then bottom watered and the paper would become wet, but didn't effectively saturate the soil. This year we mixed the soil in a wheelbarrow and then added water and then filled the pots. Sure, a bit more messy but thus far the pots are not wicking all the mositure from the soil itself as it was already wet to begin with.
Good luck.
