    Cool My seeds are growing!

I'm so excited my seeds are popping up! I planted them indoors in egg cartons and empty soda/water bottles. (I cut the bottom part off my soda/water bottles. After I plant my seedlings outside I can still recycle the bottles.) I have never started plants from seeds for vegetables before. I also have some flower seeds I planted too. There is something satisfying about seeing them peeking through the soil and knowing you planted the seeds.

Glad to hear they are popping up, isn't it fun to watch them poke thru?

The vegetable seeds I planted are tomato, egg plant and pumpkin. The flower seeds I planted are hollyhock and gallardia (sp?). I still need to plant my yellow and green squash, red and green peppers, bush beans, and sugar snap peas. I need to dig out an old metal shelf in my garage to put in my kitchen to put the seedlings on, I need more room. My sliding glass door in the kitchen gets about 7 hours of sunlight a day so the spot is perfect. I'll keep up dating because it keeps me working and "in check". Happy gardening everyone!

you're right - it is exciting to see the little green shoots pop through the soil. Like the idea of using soda bottle bottoms.

going to start seeds when we get back from soccer tournament next Sunday!! What did you plant?
