Sophie Perpetual Rose
Dave's stepsister just had a baby last weekend and named her Sophie. I had an idea to buy a rose for his stepmother's rose garden as a way of congratulating her. I bought the Sophie perpetual variety. I hope she likes it; we'll be giving it to her in a couple of hours.
Here's a picture:

That is a beautiful rose, and so sweet of you.

What a great idea - the rose is beautiful too!!

What a sweetie you are! She must have loved it and will for many seasons to come.

What a perfect gift. It could last her lifetime. Wouldn't it be fantastic if she had them for her wedding 20 years or so from now!

Oh that would be so precious LOL
Janice (my step-mil) told me a story about a tree that her dd brought home from school 25ish years ago. It's still in her yard and has really grown.
I wish we had had our own house when my kids were born because I think it's such a neat idea to watch plants/trees grow with the kids.
