    Default Planting week begins tomorrow!

It's been nice all weekend. DH did a lot of thinking and we decided to use a 20x8 plot on the side of the house for our garden area. It gets way more sun than our south-facing front yard (mainly because the side yard faces east and gets tons of sun).

Tomorrow, I'll be spending the day digging out some of the yard and plan on setting the gardening area up all week long. That way, I don't overaggrevate my bad right shoulder and I won't feel all hurried. During the week, I'll also be heading over to Superstore to pick up some seeds (for the plants I'm putting in the garden) and checking out the flowers for the front yard. Our plan right now is to grow vegetables in the side yard and flowers/herbs in the front yard. I'd love to get tomatoes, onions and lettuce in the side yard because we eat a lot of those three vegetables during the summer. I'd love to get carrots in too, but with rabbits in the neighborhood it'll be hard (unless I put them in the middle).

I'll be blogging on here and on my personal frugal blog about the garden, with lots of pictures of course! I'm so excited!

Planning and planting are the two best things in gardening right next to harvesting and eating
    Enjoy your planting
