    Default Yummy!

Yesterday I picked up our side of beef We used some of that for supper, delish..

Anyway in order to make room for the meat I had to take out a couple gallons of frozen apples. I hated to see them go to waste, so I dumped them into the stock pot and cooked them down. I had a package of rhubarb, and put that in. Tasted, too sour, added a little sugar.... WOW!!!!!! That was AMAZING. I blended it smooth and jarred and processed it.

I had a bowl warm with a little bit of cream.... it was so divine.

That gave me 8-2 cup jars, and I have more cooking, as it didn't all fit in the pot. I'm using the crockpot this time. The boy will love this...lol. He's the only one besides me that likes applesauce.

So much better than tossing it I think it would be great in muffins too.

I used to have a co-worker whose other career was innkeeper at a B&B. She made pink lemonade in the summertime for her guests using lemons and rhubarb. Rhubarb was her secret ingredient.
