These two, 2 year old, trees were planted in 2008, and both survived the Winter. One is in partial shade and the other is in full sun.Durgan

I love paw paw's I have a few trees in my back yard that my Grandfather planted. I have not ate any for years as mine has not produced for quite some time. Th old trees I lost in the ice storm a few years ago but I have several young trees coming along well.

I am in Missouri and pawpaw's grow wild here. I am in zone 5. We would sing as we picked pawpaw's
Where, oh where is dear little Janet?
Where, oh where is dear little Janet?
Where, oh where is dear little Janet?
Way down yonder in the paw-paw patch.
Come on boys, let's go find her,
Come on boys, let's go find her,
Come on boys, let's go find her,
Way down yonder in the paw-paw patch.
Pickin' up paw-paws, put 'em in your pockets,
Pickin' up paw-paws, put 'em in your pockets,
Pickin' up paw-paws, put 'em in your pockets,
Way down yonder in the paw-patch.

My Paw Paw tree is blooming for the first time. We have planted 6 over the last four years but only 2 have made it so far we have had a really hard time getting them to grow here.
