You didn't say what zone you are in....keep that in mind when planting anything. Since you said MN I would guess you have a fairly short season.

The back of the package of veggies will say the time it takes to 'produce' something, if that is compatible with your summer you are on your way. IF..the ground had good prep., the watering is done and mother nature co-operates.

Knowledge is power........so read....read......read.....on-line, books, library, ask other gardeners in your area....all great sources of info.

Good luck.......hope you have a great harvest!

You have to be careful of what zone you're in. Minnesota has cold winters and short summers from what I know of, so take that into account when planting things. You should be able to find a book or two that gives you the planting information for your particular area. Also be wary of any animals in your area that may eat into your produce.

    Good luck!

Try to find a neighbor who is a gardener. If you can learn the mistakes they have made, it will be invaluable. Also, contact your local Cooperative Extension office. They will have lots of publications for you and information for your locality.

^^ that! I have a neighbor who is leaning on me & learning how to garden. She loves it because she wants to do for her family & I love it, because gardening is a very valuable tool!

    Good luck with your garden!
