Default Next month I might be scheduling...

an old fashioned barn raising...but with...a...fence...instead.

I am excited, because I really need this fence. I have needed one to keep stray dogs out, the kids in, and so on. And now, through a gift from my uncles memory, I get the money necessary to do it.

Thing is I can't afford to pay someone to do it so I am thinking I might be having a barbecue and asking friends to help...think it'll work?

No harm in trying. I'd help if a friend needed me. Let us know how it goes.

Friends of ours had a deck building party once and it turned out great! They supplied the food and beer and everyone was asked to bring wood! Everyone spent the afternoon helping to build the deck and low and behold it was done by the end of the day and it looked great! A fun time was had by all, my friends got their deck and everyone was happy.

I think it is a great idea! Let us know how it went!

Oh, I hope it works.....what a neat idea.

I would help someone if I got a call.....don't think it would work here.

So, do you just invite the people you know? or do you just leave it open?

Sounds like a good idea to me. If you are supplying the food, you never know who might show up.

I think it will work if you offer lots of good food, music and friends.
Also if you reciprocate with your friends on their projects.
