Garlic Scapes Removed

The garlic Scapes were removed from the Hard Neck Snake Garlic (Allium sativum). the scapes were cut close to the source with a pair of garden cutters. Scapes are cut into small pieces and used in a stir fry or simply cooked in a bit of oil or butter and consumed.

Learned about eating these last summer. Yummy!

I didn't know you could eat them. It's too late to get them out of the compost pile. Rats!!!!
I've ordered my garlic to plant this fall. It's a variety, from hot to mild, that will grow in my area. Can't wait till next year's harvest!!
