I want a purple sensation Allium. When I visited my MIL the beginning of this month we went to a botanical garden, and I fell head over heels in love with the purple sensation. Well, we asked a nursery owner about how to get them/when to plant them and such. He said I would need to plant it in the fall.

Here's my question...we are moving in December and don't know where we will be. Can I plant the Allium in a pot and grow it? That way when we move I could just take it with me? I don't want to plant it and not be able to enjoy it.
