Question Have you ever gone on a sleigh ride during the Christmas season

They are planning on having sleigh rides here this Christmas and I think our whole family is going to take part. I've never been on a sleigh ride so it should be fun.

    How about you?

I have and also have been on a horse drawn wagon and buggy for the holidays.

This is one thing I will surely miss about NY each year. I loved to go through Canandaigua which has beautiful Victorian homes and a few mansions downtown and street of shops. They have horse drawn rides and it's so lovely with the gas lamps and Santa's house. My absolute favorite thing was going to Sonnenberg gardens for Christmas lights. I also loved visiting Granger Homestead.

If you go to Upstate NY during the winter season, these are two wonderful stops to make.

Ok, I'll think I'll cry again about how badly I wish I could move back "home". I am hopeful someday, we'll move back.

This is something I would like to do for a living, dh will not consider an investment in the carriages, wagons and cold blooded horses to draw them.... we can get a lot just out of town very cheap, zoned for horses, but he thinks it would not be a very good business..... There are a lot of other things to buy, but I think doing weddings, proms, hay rides, sliegh rides, wagon rides and doing local faires and events would bring in good money....Oh well........

We were in Kansas City once during the Christmas season and we did that. It was wonderful! The only thing was it was like 10 F. so we froze our lips off!

This is something I've always wanted to do, but they don't do them around here I don't think.
