Are you planning things for next year?
I will have a fence up this summer, which will allow for some fence training of more grapes next year. I have the opportunity to get a lemon tree that is in pot but been trained to grow on a trellis. Thinking that would make a fun addition to the garden...IF I can get it to grow here...
any plans for next year?~~ Missy ~~

I'm investing the cash to put in a raised flower bed in the front and side of the house and we're looking at a retaining wall in the backyard that would give us about ten feet of gardening space between the wall and the fence.
I found London Drugs still selling Topsy Turvy planters so I got one and we'll be putting it on the other side of the front window next year. I'm gonna try to grow some red peppers in it.Wife to DH since 10/31/2002!

Next year I will not plant vegetables in containers!! I will plant them in bags of soil. My cucumber in a bag of soil is doing fantastic, the tomatoes in pots or upside in pots not so good.

Well, some of mine may be hopes more than plans. If we are able to find someone who can cut quite a few trees at a reasonable cost, I am hoping to have a chicken coop and chickens. Also, with the trees out of the way, we could build a small front yard fence and build a sidewalk-type walkway to the front door, and get started on landscaping the front yard.
