My carrots are no where near that size. They look great. I think my latter rows got planted when it was too warm, something i'll remember next year.

I found temperature is only of importance for germination. Carrots grow well at any temperature. They can be planted even now if there is a bit of a shady place in the garden. Keep them relatively cool and dampen several times a day, and they will germinate in about eleven days.
