Default Central Air Unit Not Cooling House

I have 2 units- one upstairs and one downstairs-

The upstairs is blowing- I feel the air blowing- the thingamabob outside (can't think of the name) is operating, but no cold air. I did notice that there's no water being pumped out.

I hear its the compressor, but hopefully it's something else. Is there a few other checks I can do before I call the rapis- I mean the HVAC guy?

    Thanks!

Have you had any power surges or outages? If so, turn off the unit for about 20 minutes and then turn it back on. It is always recommended to turn the units off during periods where the power is going off and on (thunderstorms).

That is all I can offer you. GOOD LUCK!

We had that problem, and it turned out that the freon was empty due to a slow leak. Not sure how you can check for that though. Maybe do Google search asking how.
