Rejoice in the rain!
Mother Nature has been screwing with my garden happiness lately. It's been pretty dry and even with two rain barrels, I had to use the hose at times to water the garden (yuck!). So leave it to me to get all excited when it's forecasted to rain three days in a row...
Saturday? Nothing.
Sunday? Nothing.
Today? EVERYTHING! Both rain barrels are overflowing, both gardens are flooded and I am one happy gardener mama!Wife to DH since 10/31/2002!

I wish we could get some rain in Texas, all of the grass is dying and turning to crunchy brown sticks under our feet. Hope some of it makes it down here.

Wish it would rain here. We had threats for a few days last week and got a few sprinkles but not much. I would love to see a big downpour for 24 hours!

MTTB...We must have sent some up to you. We got a thunder storm w/rain last night but could use some more rain.......without the lightning, I hope. We have a small chance of it this week....need it badly or we are going to have some serious fires.

I think you did. This stuff came up around the mountains from the Montana border, so I imagine that this was being all buddy buddy with you earlier. It was so glorious!
I wish I could have taken some video of it without getting shocked, but the rain was so hard that it pelted some of the paint off of our side door. It bounced right out of the eavestrough and smacked onto the driveway, plus my entire yard flooded. I imagine that I don't have to water the garden until at least tomorrow because the soil is still soaked.Wife to DH since 10/31/2002!

We've had really good luck with rain this year, and my garden is showing it! We've had rain spaced it out pretty well. I think I've only had to actually water the garden a few times!

It's odd that you say that because just this morning, I went outside to look at my plants. The tomato plant that had been struggling is like twice its size now... overnight! We did have more rain yesterday and last night, but I didn't think that the 1 inch of rain we got on Monday would have done that much good for it.

Raining again here...would be great except there hasn't been enough sun to go with it. We had 3 days in a row (sun), and it was like a "miracle".

Yeah I hear the sun has been unkind to y'all out East. The people in Eastern Canada are upset because they aren't getting enough sunshine for their summer's worth. If I could take some of that rain, I would!
