    Default tomato success

I have an itsy bitsy tomato on my plant. I'm so happy, if nothing else I will have one home grown tomato just for me, hubby doesn't like tomatoes.

WTG!! I also picked my first tomato today off my patio tomato plant. It's small and puny but it's red. It is proudly displayed on my windowsill. Success!!!

Yay! I hope it grows to become a big fat red tomato for you!

I had a couple little bitty green ones, and then a couple more, and now I have a LOT of medium size green tomatoes.... just waiting.... looks like it will be a good year this year. [fingers crossed]

It's always so much fun to see the little tomatoes starting! My hubby and I both like tomatoes, but we didn't plant any this year. Last year we put them in front of the house and found out by accident (the first time) and by sheer stupidity (don't know what else to call it when you do this more than once....lol) that if we watered the tomatoes thoroughly we would flood the basement bathroom. It was a definite lesson in where not to put the tomatoes!

Funny I have lived in the country all my life and we always had gardens. You know I never had a fresh tomatoe. I couldn't stand the store bought ones so I guess I must have figured at one point that they all tasted like that. Now I love them. We have two tiny ones and some other blossoms.

No one ever tried to coax you to try the garden ones? My sons do not like tomatoes and I'm always trying to get them to taste them out of the garden. I always say I understand why people don't eat winter tomatoes, but I don't understand how anyone won't try summer/garden tomatoes. Look what you've been missing!!!!!!!!! So glad you found out!!!!!!!!!

Nothing beats a home grown tomato, they are so much sweeter and jucier. I eat them like an apple. Sending the garden everyone's way.

Yay! I have a bunch of flowerings on mine but no tomato yet. I check it every day like a hawk too just to make sure it's doing something.

    Yay!

Yeah I don't know what I'd do without my rain barrels. I told DH I wanted to get two more next year and daisy-chain them, then he mentioned something about making the backyard into a deck + garden...

    Yes please!

I have about five or six tomatoes now and the two biggest ones are getting pretty fat. One's fattening up width wise and the other one is lengthening like a jelly bean. I discovered about four or five more spots where at least six flowers per spot are going to grow in. I'm gonna put the pictures of those, plus the other plants and my lettuce in an album on here.
