Default show growing "zone" near name

I am new here and haven't read very far but I was wondering if there is a way to list your growing zone by your name. Because what works one place will likely not work in another. Planting times, soil types etc. It would be wonderful to know.

At first I thought it would be great to have subforums for zones but too much other info goes on to make it that hard.

I am zone 5 but even that doesn't say too much. Our yards, soil, garden exposure, etc. can make a big difference.

I have a brick house and if I put black plastic down on the southern exposure side, up close to my house, and with my rocky ground, (that gathers and holds heat) I can put in garden plants in late March or early April. Not the normal zone 5 gardening. Zones only help me when talking about how tender a perennial plant is.......not so much with veggies.

I'm a 3a, I think. It's either 3a or 3b, but that all depends on the season behaviors. For example, it didn't get nice enough here to plant anything outside until late May/early June. Winter was colder than normal and lasted about another month longer than usual.

Food 4us you can add your zone to your status by your name; click on where it says you have no status and you will get a text box...you can plug in your zone or you can add your growing zone to your signature.
