Default Ever wonder what $350 worth of tomatoes looks like?

That's the cost of my new tiller this year, so I could have "free" vegetables. I have to say that as a result (I hope) this year the garden is the best it ever has been.

This is the first bucket I picked Monday, a mixture of romas, heirlooms (the orange ones), grape tomatoes, and another variety. The purple-black things are lilac bell peppers. There's over a gallon of fruit here.

Wednesday I picked a plastic grocery sack full of tomatoes, cucumbers, and yellow squash.

Saturday I put up 6 pints of salsa. That took care of all the roma tomatoes and some of my garlic.

Sunday I sliced a quart of grape tomatoes and set them in a warmed oven with the light on, to dry them.

Next up, cucumbers and yellow squash....
