Default Festival o'cooking today! Whatcha got?

I had a crazed day of cooking - pork roast w/ veggies in the slow cooker including zuc from a friend; zuc bread w/choc chips; poppy seed bread for a coworker's b-day Tuesday; canned some pickled beets; canned some Queen Anne's lace jelly - have yet to taste - I'll let you know. Just made two half-pint jars. I'd read this recipe and saw that some was in flower, so figured what the heck. It may be too sweet for my taste - I usually prefer all fruits, but I was curious to try it.

Next weekend trying to make elderberry wine and grape jam - and homemade bread.

Wow busy lady! I have had no energy today! I am off work until Thursday, so I may get to cooking and baking one of those days!

Gottadance, you are one busy person. Some good eatin' too.

I was too busy sewing today to do more than toss some beef jerky in the dehydrator! After a morning of yard stuff.......
Travel light. The baggage of the past can only hold you back.

This weekend I prepared taco meat, meatloaf and teriyaki chicken to eat during the week because I'm just too tired when I get home from work. If I hadn't done that who knows how many times we would go through the drive thru this week. I also cut up some watermelon and cantelope to eat through out the week. Today we did a Sunday breakfast with french toast, eggs, bacon and hashbrowns and did a tapa dinner with lemon garlic chicken bites, chili shrimp, green beans and pinenuts and crusty bread. I love tapas but the resturant I like is way to expensive so I bought a spanish cookbook to learn how to make them myself.

I did bale 2 loaves of sourdough bread. Gave 1/2 loaf to a neighbor and between Sat and Sun we ate a half. Will need to fire up the bread machine again this week to have enough to last the week for sandwiches.
