Default New hoe and going bigger.

Well this year we are expanding so the wife got me a new hoe! I've been wanting one for some time because I've been told over and over how much better it is than my old standard hoe.

As for the expansion... we are planning on canning and freezing a lot this year. The wife wants to try making sauerkraut so I'm putting in 10 heads of cabbage and at least 20 broccoli for freezing. Plus we will be planting all the essentials for home made salsa.

Gonna be a busy gardening year.

So what are your plans this year?

    Nice hoe, RC!

I can tell everyone is getting excited about gardening on here by all the talk but it has been so cold here - with no snow - I am just wondering if my poor plants will make it.

I am just guestimating here but I would count on a third cabbage per quart. If you can it, it can keep for 3 years no prob.
