Winter Container Gardening
Planning ahead, and I'm hoping that I can overwinter some of the things I am growing on my balcony.
I'm thinking mostly herbs, and greens like spinach or kale.
Has anyone ever done this, and will I need gro-lites?

I grow sweet basil in pots all year around. Thyne can be brought in but I just use it from the garden because it stays green all winter. Bay leaf stays in the pot all year, as well as parsley, marjoram, oregano, and there is a couple of more just can't think of the names of them. I have a whole table full in the sunroom and I leave them in there all year round. Chives too.
This way I don't have to put up with the bugs on them.
