Default Need chicken help! Bloody poop new chick!

We are new to chickens....but I have wanted some for years now, picked up 5 chicks of various breeds, 4-5 weeks old, at a local chicken swap yesterday. All chicks in all pens looked healthy, active, bright eyes ,no signs of runny stools in their boxes, clean vents on the ones I looked over, picked out- all was fine yesterday, but this morning we have some bloody poop! I suspect it's from our EE, she is listless this morning, though she will move around a bit she doing the squinty eyes, hunkered down thing quite a bit.

I am guessing we have cocc.? I picked up medicated chick feed yesterday, under the guidance of our local Agway, and bag indeed says it's for this age chick. Don't know what they were eating before, have not been on the ground here yet.

Could switching them to the new medicated feed bring this about? Does it mean she has cocc. and this is helping get rid of it? Do I need to run out and grab some water additive to get rid of it and if so do I need to switch off the medicated feed?Advice please?

I am a chicken owner for a year now. I never had this problem but I would seperate the suspected sick chick and then go to
Backyardchickens.com. They have lots of good advice and people who are so helpful. Best of luck with your chick. I hope that is the only one that is sick. Once you get past this, you will love those chickens!!! Keep us posted.

I di kind of figure it out online- called my local Agway, spoke to their 'chicken guru', my 5 chicks are now enjoying sulmet in their water to help clear it up and keep the others healthy. Little EE is still listless but I don't see any bloody poops in the last 4 or 5 hours. Crossing fingers!
