    Default Can i take dehydrated strawberries...

    put them in a canning jar and then put in the deep freeze will this help them last longer...? Thanks for all your help.....
    Just thinking maybe this dehydrator thing and then putting them in the freezer would be a whole lot easier than canning......and an i dehydrate just about anything...

    you can totally dehydrate strawberries! I did, and lots of it! i sliced them about 1/4 inch thick and dried them to a crisp, jarred them and keep them in the cupboard with the other dried stuff. i have a jar of what looks like strawberry chips and the other one is bits and pieces for cereal and granola. they turned out great even without a lemon juice bath...

    i just washed the strawberry,s and sliced them in half and with 3 dehydrators full i got 2 full quarts if dried berry,s to put up on the shelf
    its better to have and not need than need and not have
