    Default Slugs on my tomatoes?

Ok I've looked around online to see if I can come up with a solution to getting rid of these pesky critters...but other than using old coffee grounds around the plants...I've not found alot of other helpful ideas.

Sooo...suggestions, advice, or ideas? Anybody?? HELP!!!!

    Thanks in advance.

put little tins of beer or something similar at ground level. They are attracted by the beer and fall in and drown. Drunk and dead.

Spread natural or agricultural-grade diatomaceous earth over the soil in flower beds or around individual plants. The tiny, sharp-edged granules cut the soft-bodied slugs and cause them to dehydrate. Reapply after each rainfall.

I've also read sandpaper. I have a horrible problem with them and I'm not consistant enough or they are too persistent to get totally rid of them. My hostas look like swiss cheese at this time of year. AND Russ (tried the beer thing) it evaporates before the slugs get to it. LOL

    from experience using the beer..
I used the pot pie tins that are deep enough the beer doesn't evaporate over night when slugs are most active.

This D. E has worked for me. But I don't like applying it.....have to do it on a calm day. I fill a squeeze bottle (using a funnel) like Soft Scrub comes in and use it to apply.

Other things at this website.........even about watering.

From watching your posts I NEVER thought you'd share your beer with slugs.

I'm sure it's just backwash that nobody wants to drink, besides slugs.
