Default Is there anyway to plant seeds now?

I am regretting not starting my garden earlier. I do have 2 tomato plants that are barely producing,a few bean plants, squash and spinach growing..not sure if I planted them to late to get anything off them this year.
IS there anyway to plant seeds now and still have time to harvest?
    Thanks

you can plant the following for fall crops:

    broccoli
    cabbage
    spinach
    beets
    radishes
    lettuce

there are more. The point is you can plant many fast growing crops and cool weather crops. It might actually (at least here in Mich)be too early to plant seeds for broc cabbage etc.

I think the issue you may have is finding the seeds.

Do a search for earliest fall frost in your zip code and read the seed packs and decide accordingly when to plant.
    here is Ct.
Frost Dates for Connecticut - Victory Seed Company

Example: if a crop takes 90 days from sowing to harvesting and can not withstand frost, plant at least 100 days before your first fall frost.
Some crops can withstand the occasional light frost.

I checked out the site.. I think I am safe with letuce, spinach, beets, and broccoli...
Can you do container gardening in the winter? I was hoping I could plant onions (which it's too late to do outdoors)...

Second Season Vegetable Seeds - Fall Beans, Lettuce, Spinach, Garlic and More at Burpee.com

If you type in your zip code they will tell you what zone you are. I'm in zone 7 and will be planting what ever more seeds I can fit to have a fall crop. My front garden gets full sun so if i remember to cover them at night when the frost starts.... I should be able to harvest into October.

You've already gotten lots of good advice.......I will just wish you good luck with your garden!

Our broc. does better in the fall..........no fast, hot, heat to make it bolt.

Bush beans grow and produce quickly, I've got turnip seedlings up now ... as others have said, there are plenty of fast-growing crops that do better in cool weather ... though beans prefer warmth; they just are fast growers.

As for winter container gardening ... most things I try to move indoors to overwinter croak. You might have luck with something like chives, whereas I doubt you'd get decent onions.

I planted beets and spinach seeds outside today. (it's all I had on hand) I will try to buy the other seeds Thursday.
Now, if I could just find a free pressure cooker
I've dying to do more canning..
Spinach and beets are good cause they can be frozen..brocoli as well.
Thanks a bunch guys! I love the tips! I'm a very amatuer gardener..

    .
Check on craigslist for a pressure cooker. If you don't see one, put a wanted ad up. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
Also check the thrift stores and garage sales. I bought 2 canners last year, resold one of them, and was thinking to sell the second one, after I buy 2 parts for it. And or I may keep it for a second unit for myself.
