    Default Produce Picked Today

21 August 2010 Produce Picked Today 21 August 2010 Produce Picked Today.

A care package was prepared for a friend who lives in the city. The main crop of tomatoes, corn, is almost finished. The only item rather strange is the purslane, which grows everywhere. It is a fine addition to a salad. All the vegetables are of excellent quality.

I really just wanted to take the time to compliment your garden. I know purslane. When we were kids we called it "puzzly" for some reason. We used to save it for my Dgrandmas gentleman friend because he ate it in salads. Back in the day of yuell givvens (sp?). He ate lots of dandelions too and made wine.

I am still so incredibly jealous that you can have a garden that size. I strive to have something like that when we get old enough to have enough land.

Wow...my compliments on some beautiful produce.

I envy the beets..........unless I decide to do a raised bed, I have too many rocks to do root veggies!! I love beets too!

How many hours do you spend in your garden on a typical day once it's planted?

Oh, love how you are sharing the harvest, makes you feel great,eh?
