Default Love this vertical garden site....

I don't live in an apartment, but I think I can use some of these ideas to increase my yields. I wish I had the moderate climate as the author, but oh well-ya can't have everything.

Lots of good info here, too. http://www.eightsquaremetres.com/

When the jungle that we call our backyard is under control, I just may try this vertical farming.

There is a book called Square Foot Gardening that also has some good info on vertical gardening.

I do some things with the square foot method as well, I can get so many tomato plants in a small space but have drip irrigation that helps. I also use shoe organizers on my one brick wall for herbs, it looks so cute and is productive. This was my first year for salad tables and they worked out fantastic.

Thanks for the site , it looked cool and will check out more of it later.

Like the idea of the shoe organizers. Do you use the plastic or the canvas ones? Just wondering how long either would hold up to sunshine and moisture.

    Madhen,

Got my idea from here, and mine looks very similar. It was very productive, looked cute and held up surprisingly enough.

Very cool!! Thank you!! This may even help to thwart the evil ground squirrels, if I can figure out a way to suspend it from my deck!

    Thanks, Booklover, Madhen & Happymama.

I've the 'Square Foot Gardening' book long long time ago, haven't really put it in practical use yet. Probably this year, we shall work harder to incorporate the ideas from that book & the other sites you listed to make our veg planters work for us.

Booklover, thanks for the links...very informative! My fave nonstandard veggie growing site is this one:

WinterSown.Org ~ The Authoritative Site for Winter Sowing Information.
