    I won't start seeds for another 4-6 weeks yet, but I put garlic in yesterday.

    Today if it is still nice I am going to start cleaning last years debris out of the beds. DH wants to get weed barrier down before the grass starts coming back. Last year he was too busy to mess with it and we got overwhelmed with weeds.

    My crocus, daffodils and tulips have made their presence known above ground. I also have many tiny little buds on my azaleas and some have just barely cracked open to show a shocking pink color inside. I am so ready for the sunshine!!!

    We were laughing at rose bugs all over the sidewalk at the dentists last week. We saw a few Canadian geese back. Too bad the wild has them flying sideways!!
    Spring-still but a dream here. And to whoever said it-50 degrees is ditch your winter coat weather here.

    It's officially spring in our parts. The daffodils are all in bloom and so is the wild mustard that grows in fields and empty lots around here. Some of the trees are already in bloom too.
    “When you get to the end of all the light you know
    and it's time to step into the darkness of the unknown,
    faith is knowing that one of two things will happen:
    you will be given something solid to stand on,
    or you will be taught how to fly.” - Edward Teller

    “Our Earth is degenerate in these later days;
    there are signs that the world is speedily
    coming to an end;
    bribery and corruption are common; children no
    longer obey their parents;
    every man wants to write a book and the
    end of the world is evidently approaching.”
    — From a translation of an inscription on
    an Assyrian clay tablet, circa 2800 B.C.E.

    God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
    courage to change the things I can,
    and the wisdom to know the difference

    I have spring fever!! I was outside yesterday and today, it was beautiful. A little cooler today than yesterday but I'll take it. Cleared some sticks out of the yard and cleaned up around the chicken coop. Felt good to be out in the yard. I had all the pets out all afternoon.

    Definately feels like spring is just around the corner. When I opened the door I could hear birds chirping. Checked on my minature rose bush that is in a pot and was pleased to see it has buds on it. All the other potted plants in the front seemed to make it through the winter. Yea.
