I think they look quite well insulated. I bet they have fun foraging through the snow.

They come out of the coop if the snow isn't flying or too deep and it's about about 15 degrees.
I think they would much rather be outside than in.Russ

I wish you were a bit closer as well, Russ. I would buy a dozen from you every week or so. I think you could do really well at a Farmer's market. Most of the ones by me sell their eggs for at least $3.00/dozen.

We usually barter with our eggs, rather than selling for cash. Our neighbor will feed and water our animals while we are away in exchange for eggs (and homemade bread). I also trade with friends for veggies from their gardens.

they look like they are happy to be in the snow to me. I hate the stuff myself, but my girls love it, like yours do. my dog likes to plow through the snow in the mornings...in the afternoon, you can watch the girls walking through the trails the dog has blazed in the snow.
