MY GOODNESS! I am impressed with your raspberry crop to come. But you need to not do so much that you wear yourself down.

    Enjoy your future crops.

Our cabin is literally surrounded by raspberries and lowbush cranberries. I can spend hours picking them and hardly make a dent. I can't wait till later in the summer, but right now there's still over 3 feet of ice on the lake and a few feet of snow in the bush.

I want transplant a bunch of berries into the yard, but the fact that we have many many visits by big black bears as it is, I don't know if I should do anything more to lure them in. Going berry picking is a nice reason to get out into the bush anyway. Within a 1/2 hour walk there are more raspberries, cranberries, blueberries, and wild strawberries than I could ever hope to pick. Not to mention Labrador Tea (very good if you've never tried it), rosehips (later in the fall), bearberries, reindeer moss... I could definitely live a hunter-gatherer lifestyle and still put on weight.

You never cease to amaze me.
What kind of sealer did you use for the beans/pasta. I want to buy one and need it to do jars too. Any recommendations.
    Still amazed by that pantry.

Wow, I would be in 7th heaven. Lucky you. I can remember when I was little picking them before houses grew up around us and they all disappeared. We had 14 cherry trees in the yard and I used to eat them until they came out my ears

I wish we had ramps here...Funny, I just cut down 1/2 the wild raspberries coming thru the snow in my yard. I want to expand the veggie garden and CONTAIN the raspberries, so they needed to be cut back while I still can!

I seriously envy you for the ramps though....

    Sounds like you been busy

My son has domestic red raspberries in his garden. He told me to pick as much as I wanted to last year. He did not have the time. After I made some jam, I sent it home with him.

I just dug up raspberries from the neighbors yard. The house is for sale, and the people doing yard maintainace on it keep mowing down the raspberries. So I grabbed me some!! There are plenty left for the future tenants....
