    Default Concord grapes

I just bought one of these vines,in a pot and lots of buds.I am trying to find the best spot to plant it.
The tag says they are good for a small space. So if I used a steel trellis about 2 feet wide, would it be alright to weave it from side to side all the way up? or should I use something wider.I don't have a fence.

It would probably work but I'd go wider. We have commercial concords that are spaced 8 feet apart in 8 foot wide rows. Even if you try to grow them wide, they will also grows front and back if you can picture it

    I have one Concord vine.

It has two wires 8' long at about 2.5 feet and 5 feet from the ground. Even with much pruning the vine after four years overruns the trellis. If I was starting again I would make the side runs each 6 or 8 feet.

My trellis is in the open in the yard, since the vines are quite attractive wherever placed. There are three vines on a support 24 feet long of Baco Noir, Sovereign Coronation, and Concord. This is the fifth year.

The Concord is the best producer with 32 pounds in 2010, and the vine grows like crazy. No real fruit until the third year.
