    Default not happy

the peas , lettuce andf radishes are growing great well they were. It only takes about 1 minute for an 18 month to help and take out a whole row of radishes when you garden in blocks. LOL guess the gate needs to go back on the garden when grandkids visit.

Well that's no good. Of course I sort of know how you feel. Our black lab can destroy a 4X8 sq ft garden in just under 4 minutes.

The lab had already thinned the peas walking through the raised beds. To Bad I did not have the camera ready for my little gardener. He was sitting in the raised bed with a sand shovel.

I guess when you teach children to garden you need to plant double. but a leash sounds good some days

~Oh no! I have a feeling my 6 year old is going to do something like this. I always involve the kids in stuff for educational purposes and she likes to do 'extra credit'. She's about as skilled as you'd expect from a 6 year old so disaster usually ensues.
This week she attempted to fix the toilet herself and snapped off the ballcock and cracked the tank.
So you can see how I was nervous when she helped me plant and water the spring vegetables today. Hopefully they make it to harvest. ~

Oh no! Yep leashes are in order here.

Sorry this happened to Russ and itlw8..........

And I am only worried about my little black girl discovering the
strawberries. She might not destroy much.........it might be FOOD!!! She only lives for her food..........

My oldest dd is autistic. One year when she was about 9, I planted a fall crop with somethings that were supposed to overwinter. She likes Winnie the Pooh and especially Rabbit, who does a lot of gardening. She watched an episode where Rabbit gathered in his fall harvest and thought it was wonderful. So she put on her overalls and straw hat, when out to my garden and "harvested" every. single. thing. in it. She was so tickled to be harvesting. LOL

we had a lab once that would pick my ripe tomatoes and eat them only the ripe ones.

The lab we had as kids would pick and eat the pipe strawberries. Mother had to pick early in the morning to get any at all.

I am glad I am not the only one with a kid who tries to do these kinds of things. Mine actually destroyed the toilet in our downstairs bathroom last year when he was 4. Took the lid off to look inside and dropped the lid into the tank, breaking a HUGE hole in the bottom. Man that was a fun clean up project.

We put a little fence around our garden this year to hopefully keep kids and dogs out of it. We'll see if it works!
