    Default cat repellant??

This year I've had cats invading my garden, eating those cute lizardy critters that keep the bugs from taking over. Is there anything that will keep them out? The garden is fenced, but the fencing is pretty wide-set.

BTDT.........it didn't work for me. But I would sure give it a try.

I have tried..........orange peel, moth balls, coffee grounds, cayenne pepper--but you have to re-do anytime it rains...........and NOTHING noted here has worked.

What has worked............grass clippings...but don't use them if you have used weed and feed on your lawn. The other
thing that works in my flower garden..........they don't like lavender.........also.........what helps and if the plants can tolerate it........keep it wet.......

The grass clippings has worked about the best but even that hasn't been 100%........depends on the cat.

Thanks - definitely have to do something soon. I saw a very small lizardly being the other day, and hope the tribe is growing under the garden shed where the cats can't get to.
Keep the suggestions coming!! All are very much appreciated.

We're going to order a motion activated sprinkler, called Scarecrow. It was $49, free shipping at Amazon. It has great reviews and should do what you want.
We just want to keep kitties out of the fenced area where the dogs are AKA the suicide zone.

Generally cats dislike volatiles like alcohol, perfume, and strong cleansers. Maybe you can find something you can apply to your perimeter.

Fences are pretty much useless as they can jump over them. I have seen cats jump up and perch on wire 4 feet in the air and go right over those wooden 6 foot fences so popular in Texas.

You could try laying chicken wire on the ground around the perimeter. I honestly don't know if it will work though.

    I like the sprinkler idea.

Will be curious to see how this works.

If it makes any kind of noise when it is turning on....may not work.
And have read that you have to have it pointed in the right direction.......what?? Does it have a motion sensor? That would work better......

My cats run the minute they hear me move the chain on my front door.......dogs barking doesn't phase them........but the minute I touch the front door they are gone.
I have the dogs chase them if they are in my back yard..........WISH I HAD A PIT BULL FOR THIS!!

I like the sprinkler idea, too. Garden is long and narrow - might have to use 2.
Thanks, all for all the great suggestions.
