Garlic Dried
2 August 2011 Garlic Dried 2 August 2011 Garlic
The hard neck garlic has been drying (cured) in the shed for about three weeks and was trimmed and placed in an open container ready for long term storage. It is thoroughly dry and the bulbs are sealed, and should store well for about 8 months. There are about 70 bulbs for use, and 20 of the largest set aside for planting of the 2011/2012 crop in October.Durgan

Thanks Durgan, we harvested 2 weeks ago and hung them on the shed to dry, we weren't sure what to do next, but now can follow your pictures.
We got 2 bulbs. I guess its better than nothing. Will plant this fall.Pine trees, with their needles pointing up to heaven, represent everlasting light and life.

I need to pull mine. I hope it is not too late. We just peel ours and freeze the cloves (we have a Greek Garlic, I am told.) which produces vary small cloves.
