    Default Juice- Pepper, tomato, cucumber

6 August 2011 Green peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers for Juice. 6 August 2011 Green peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers made into Juice.

Green Peppers, tomatoes and cucumbers were made into juice and pressure canned for long term storage. The pictures depict the method. This is a suitable method for utilizing excessive garden produce. All garden produce appears in abundance at about the same time.

It doesn't look good but must taste good. What do you do with the pulp?

I am so envious of your garden, next year I will have a good garden/

I discarded the pulp, but it would probably make a reasonable base for soup. I ingest a fair amount of raw food, so probably get enough fiber.

Preserving food in a home garden is a challenge. It takes very little ground to produce all the fresh fruit and vegetables a family can eat.

I think its a lot easier to put everything in a juicer.I just take the juice, boil on the stove and process in a boiling water bath. The pulp goes to compost.
