    Default Organic Peppers?

Can I use the seeds from the Organic Peppers I bought at the farmers market to start new pepper plants? I have NEVER grown anything in my life... but would LOVE too - just to supplement my food bill!

Saving pepper seeds is even easier. Allow some fruits to stay on the plants until they become fully ripe and start to wrinkle. Remove the seeds from the peppers and spread them out to dry. Since already off plants let them wrinkle a little at home don't mold.

Some run them under hot water so they don't have a fungus , when you go to plant. I don't with the pepper. I grow jalapeño, Chilie, habenero, green and my favorite red heirloom peppers from Amish seed. You can grow them in pots or close together , in rows etc. Growing close to tomatoes works well for green or red peppers. I grew so many bushels this year in a small area of raised beds. I also buy them by the boatload at the produce auction. I love red peppers....LOL

Good luck and hope this helps.

I always start my pepper plants from store bought seedlings. They take a relatively long season and acid soil to produce well. A cup of vinegar in a litre of water poured on the roots periodically enhances growth. Four plants produce a lot of peppers.
