feeling a wee bit sad
One of my chickens died today.
It had been 'huddled' up in a corner of the hen house since yesterday and when I went to check up it today, it was dead.
I think it was old age since it had no symptoms of any of the diseases on backyardchicken.com and I believe that it was an older chicken when I got it, but still, I'm feeling a wee bit sad.*Avril*

My sympathy. It is always a sad time when any animal dies, particularly one of your own. Cheer up. That is life. Regards.

Aw, I am sorry.
That is always sad, when you lose an animal.

Aw I am sorry!! I don't have chickens but I love all animals and get attached deeply to them. I'd be terrible at raising any for food.

Hugs. I would be crying a bit each time an animal, even though it was raised for other purposes, left this world.
