I have done pineapples with the tops but have never heard of this. Thanks going to try it. I also have done it with the carrot tops but I just put them with my tomatoes as they are companion crops.

I was doing this with a cut off bottom of a celery. It was growing rather well, but kind of slowly. The new stalks reached about 2 - 2 1/2 inches high. We went away for about a week on vacation and when we came home everything that was left in my garden was pretty much done for because we had no rain while we were gone. The celery "bit the dust", so I do not know how much more it would have grown.

I am currently regrowing celery. I have some three inch shoots coming from the center. Where I have it does not get sun all day long so that may also affect it. But it is still growing.

I neglected the one at home - dried up. We started the one at school on MOnday and it is already growing. I chopped up a lot of the celery and am drying it in the sun to store for later use.

I have killed everyone that I have tried to plant. My thumb is so totally black, down to the bone even, I think.
