Mung bean sprout growing is often complicated by growing in water, since the necessity for rinsing several times per day becomes onerous. Deciding to improve on this a new method was devised.

The Mung beans were planted in a plastic cup container and grown for four days with perfect results. The container was not touched from the time of planting until harvest. Pictures depict the method. A serendipitous benefit was obtained in that the hulls stayed in the potting container when removing the plants. The soil washed away easily under running water. I will obtain some sand for the next batch, which should be even easier to remove.
