Dreaming of roses, Zinnias and Marigolds

Can't plant until the 3rd week in May, but I'm beginning to dream of what I want to plant in my flower beds.

I want more perrenials:

- roses
- day lilies
- tiger lilies
- Black eyed Susans
- Sashta Daisies

For annuals:

- lots of Zinnias
- some Marigolds
- some Petunias

I want to simplify my garden this year so that I don't have to do lots of work but enjoy it more, so I want more perrenials where they come up every year.

How about you?

I would love to have all of this. I need to research more about what to plant and when to plant them. I really have no idea. My dbf claims that I can't keep a fake plant alive!!!

I am really going to try to prove him wrong this year!

Me too CJ!! I just got my first seed catalogue in the mail today and there I was at the table writing down everything I wanted in my vegetable gardens and flower beds!! I love doing that!!

The seed catalogs haven't begun arriving here yet, so I haven't gotten all dreamy yet! I totally redid my beds last year, so this year will be just adding a few more touches. I changed my front bed to all white and lavender and it was so beautiful!

I would like roses to CJ, but after I saw what the japanese beetles did to all the neighbors' - forget it! I will have to wait until we move to a colder climate!

I have been told they love it here 'cause it isn't cold enough in the winter to freeze them off) I want more Petunias. I also want to do the side of the house where the garage is. That is the only side the previous owners didn't do!
