My Chinese Hat Plant

Here is a plant I got at a flower show this last spring here in town.

When I got it, it was just a baby in a 1 gallon pot. I was told it was a Chinese Hat Plant. That is because the flowers form a shape that is similar to one of the Chinese hats that you see sometimes. Kinda like a Funnell kind of shape.

The plant has been growing all summer long, then started to get blooms late this fall. Right now it is in full bloom as pictured and has been in bloom for a long while.

Does anyone know about this plant and how you should take care of it. Right now it is in the shade under an oak tree.

I am going to try for a better picture of it tomorrow. You just can't see the flowers very good at all.

They are very interesting in shape.

Thank you for finding it and posting the pic. That is exactly what it looks like.

Interesting, huh? I had never heard of it either and was surprised when it started blooming this fall and is still in full bloom now!
