Today, I am making homemade bread. My boys love it. I just don't ever get to make it. Since we had an ice storm hit us last night we are all home and thought I would make it as a special treat.
Trying to catch up on some laundry today. I even hung some of it up on the shower rod on hangers to save on electricity.
How is your day going?~*Michelle*~

Hey girls! How are things going on your homesteads?
I just pulled 3 loaves of Hawaiian Bread out of the oven... Boy oh boy does this house smell yummy!! I love that bread!
We had Calico Beans for supper... I usually make them in the oven, but I don't have a casserole dish so I did them in the crockpot this time. They turned out really good. Of course Tyler made a face when he took a bite, as I figured he would... so he had a hot dog for supper.
Tyler and I were able to walk to the post office this morning since it was a little warmer than it has been. Also stopped to see if his medical records were transferred to the doctor here yet... and they aren't.
Got a load of laundry done and ready to put away. Did the dishes too... but need to do them again after baking bread and eating supper. Need to vacuum yet tonight as well.
Watered and checked on my herb babies a little bit ago.... the Thyme is sprouting away!
I been watching these silly birds all day. Still have lots of Blue Jays and some Chickadees... but today there is another kind of bird that I don't recognize. I have been trying to ID them online, but can't find them. I will have to keep my eyes open for a bird identification book.
Dave is in Minneapolis again helping his sister find a car to buy. I swear we'd have alot more money if he didn't run there all the time... but I keep my mouth shut. She is filling the gas tank and giving him some money for coming to help though.... and she's giving us her van when she gets her new car. So I guess its going to work out ok.Sherry

Didn't get much accomplished here today as the weather doesn't cooperate.
AND of course I had to check on DH and his leg. So most of my time is helping him try to get around.
I did manage to get all my laundry caught up.

Well lets see, on Monday I baked bread and washed clothes and did lots of reminiscing. Also did hand quilting on my challenge quilt for 1 hour.
Yesterday, was a day where I just relaxed. Not much got done.
Today, I baked muffins and did another 2 loads of washing. I just never seem to get caught up on the washing. I have to purchase another clothesrack, but I want an old fashioned one and there hard to find.
I also did another hour of hand quilting, so that makes my total so far 6 hours and counting.
Tonight I'm going to read a book on pioneer woman!! Can hardly wait.

Today my one son and daughter and I went to pick up some hay for the horses. DH is getting a wagon load this weekend but we need a few more to last until then. Picked up chicken feed on the way home as well. I made two pies for a function at the church tonight and delivered it this afternoon. Made peanut butter cookies as well for here and did 3 loads of laundry. I'm going to bed early tonight and catch up on some reading....CJ, I am reading Simple Living Guide now.

Calico, your going to love that book. One of the best books I've read on inner simplicity and making my life changes.
Grneyegrl - the book is titles Pioneer Women - The Lives of Women on the Frontier by Linda Peavy & Ursula Smith
The pictures are phenomanal and as soon as I get the kids in bed, I'm going to start reading it. I can hardly wait.
