Steps:

Cut wood to size: Cut two bench seat pieces at 1" x 8" x 32". Cut two seat frame pieces at 1" x 4" x 33-1/2" and two seat frame pieces at 1" x 4" x 14-1/2 ". Cut two bench leg pieces at 2" x 12" x 15". Cut two cleat pieces at 2" x 2" x 9".
Secure the underside of the seat boards onto the cleats with eight 1-1/2-inch screws placed 5 inches from the outside ends of the seat.
Working from the cleat side, secure each leg to the outside of each cleat, using three 2-1/2-inch screws for each leg.
Secure to edge of seat using three 1-1/2-inch screws on each side of the four sides.
Countersink all screws and cover with wood filler. Let dry and sand smooth.
Base-coat the entire bench.
Using a yardstick or ruler, use a pencil to mark guidelines for the rows of "bricks."
Pinch small pieces off of the sponge to give it texture. Cut the sponge to a small brick size.
Place paint or glaze colors on a paper plate. Use the French brush to randomly dab colors onto the sponge.
Lightly stamp the sponge onto a piece of scrap paper or newspaper, then press onto bench. Follow the guidelines, leaving 3/8"- to 1/2"-wide grout lines. Let dry.
Place stucco in desired pattern using palette knife or trowel. Let dry.
Detail faux brick design first with aging wash, then with paint or glaze accents (moss) and shadows (dark brown).
Age stucco using aging wash. Age further by applying small amounts of moss and dark brown colored paint or glaze.
Apply polyurethane to the entire piece.
