Wink Signs that Fall is almost here

~Well the garden is winding down. My tomato plants are turning brown but still have fruit ripining on the vines.

~Leaves are falling off some of the trees and my burning bush is starting to turn bright red

~The cat comes in from prowling around all night with all kinds of burrs in his fur

~My summer hummingbirds are gone and will probably get a few passers by in the coming few weeks as they migrate to warmer climates.

What signs have you noticed? Are you happy about the change?

Our tomatoes are just about done as well (sniff, sob)

The flowers are starting to look a little ragged

Leaves from the neighbors trees are in my pool (!)

The cats coats are shedding and plumping up for winter

    Most days it's much cooler

~48 yr. old sahw, livin' it up in our empty nest, smack dab in the middle of everywhere.~
