If you could have your homestead anywhere.....
Where would it be? Would you want to stay just where you are or would you like to try somewhere else?
Since I currently live in a small farming community, I'd like to move somewhere and have a bit of land. My parents own property in Montana and I'd love to retire there and have my own little homestead on the lake.

Our dream is to go to St. Alexis des Monts....I know you probably don't know this place...it's where I have been spending my summers from age 4 to 20 yrs. old and every week-end, too. It's now my parents' home...in the middle of the woods...it's beautiful and peaceful. When we look out the window we see the mountains everywhere and the forest...

Hmmm hard call. I love the actual house we have here but truth be told, far away from my inlaws would be better! I think perhaps I would go home, to the Ozarks.
MJ has never been there and I do miss it so much on occasion!

Mine would be a great antebellum style home (think Tara) on a nice ranch where we could have cattle and I could have a nice big garden. I would stay in Texas but I think I might find a prettier area of it than were I am. I think maybe the hill country.

We're going to plant ourselves right here in North Central Minnesota. We're really happy with our home in the woods. Lots of trees, lots of wildlife and mainly, lots of peace and quite! I'm scoping out our first garden space here today so that I can line up one of our neighbors to plow it up for us.
