Wow, here's my list! I was a totally different person ten years ago!
* I can
* I quilt and sew
* I crochet
* I shop and live frugally
* Make all of our dinners from scratch (I didn't even know how to cook before I was married!!)
* I garden
* I walk to work in the Summer ( to save on gas and for exercise)
* I stick to a pretty strict budget
* I'm learing as much as I can about homesteading and country living.
* I'm learning about starting my own business.

When I was younger and my boys were still home we couldn't homestead as hubby's job as a machinist in the oil industry kept us moving around. We had the 10 acres we now live on and couldn't seem to get back here to live on it. Finally, 5 years ago we were able to move a small frame house onto the property and begin to homestead. Sadly, my boys had left the nest by that time. Prayerfully, this 10 ac. will be a place my grandbabies can come and play and enjoy.
I am now able to garden
Raise calves
Pick berries and wild fruit
Learn about natural wild food sources from my Native American people
Learn to coupon and grow my food and save money so as to help hubby retire someday.
Thank-you Frugal Village and all "Villagers" I am learning even at the ripe young age of 52.
Be outside without having neighbors across the street staring at
me wondering what I am doing in the yard?
Breathe fresh air without the fumes from constant traffic on the street
I hate living in cities, I know some people love it and I don't mean to sound insulting. I grew up here in East Texas living on ranches, playing in the woods and being free. It has been such a blessing to be able to come back home and use what was given to me to the best of my ability so as to show (by example) that my sweet daughters in law can do the same and hopefully escape as much as possible the crazy "rat race" our world had become.
Thanks for listening....I am a blabbermouth.
Hugs, Rosemary
