It's a lovely Sunday here. It's been raining gently most of the night and now it's overcast. Perfect!

Quiltermom, hang in there. You'll find your dreamhouse, it's sitting somewhere just waiting for you to find it.

Sunshine, take care of yourself and try to get some sleep.

Michelle, sounds like you've got a great family day ahead.

    Hi CJ and Carolyn.

I worked at our store yesterday. My day was lifted by a huge family of Italian/Australians. About 30 of them came in after lunch with grandma. They'd been trying to get granny to buy something as she was visiting from Perth - about 4,000 km away. Grandma spent about 10 minutes inspecting this little beaded candle lamp I had there while the rest of the family helped and offered suggestions etc. The son, Joe, said, "you gotta nice good taste shop here mrs." They were a lovely family and I loved having them all in the shop. Anyhow, finally granny decided she'd buy the lamp (yay!) I boxed it up and wrapped it for here. Joe said they had taken her out shopping for two days and she refused to buy anything until this lamp. So, we all had to go out the front of the shop and take a video of the occasion! They bundled me outside with the family and infront of our shop, one of the grandsons took a video of the entire family with grandma and me in the middle!! What a scream.

I'll be at the store again today. Have a lovely Sunday everyone.

Not sure what we're up to today. Our church is having their anniversary celebration so they cancelled all Sunday School classes and we're having combined worship service (we normally have 2 services - contemporary and traditional). Since there's nowhere for the kids to go (except ages 3 and under go to nursery), they have to sit through the service. There's no way my wiggly ds will do that so we're not going. I think it was a very poor decision to expect 4, 5, and 6 year olds to sit through a lengthy service.

I mentioned going to the flea market to dh (in the 6 1/2 years we've lived here we've never been!), but Mr. Dud doesn't want to. Ugh! We could hit the beach, but I am way leary of that today since rip currents are very strong right now (a 30 yr. old man just drowned yesterday by getting caught in a rip trying to help his friend's kids get out of it) so no swimming or surfing for us today.

Posted in the wrong thread! I forgot Bethany is a day ahead of us!

    Good Morning Girls!

Today I tackle my desk area! Another nasty job. Don't know where something goes? Just put it on Deed's desk!

I'm going to fall behind on the spring fling from doing my sewing room, so I think the closets will get done as I do each room or when Carolyn assigns us a job that I don't have to do.

Snowing again this morning and dreary out. Good day to stay inside.

Get some rest Denise, you earned it.

QuilterMom, It takes a long time to find your dream home.

Michelle, watching Tball sounds like fun!

Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Good morning Bethany, QuilterMom and all to follow.

Didn't sleep well last night so I'm tired this morning. Snow storm started in the middle of the night and we've got more snow this morning with high winds. Won't be driving to church again due to the weather. I miss it!

School tomorrow so we'll be getting everything ready to go for the morning. I want to spend time in the kitchen this afternoon baking. It relaxes me and it'll feel good to have muffins, cookies and such ready for the week. I'm going back to lay down for an hour this morning.

Morning Heather! Bake some for me too! I haven't baked very much lately, cuz I'll eat it and I don't need any more calories!

Good morning everyone. Dee I'm with you. I seen this thread yesterday and wondered why Bethany had said it was a nice Sunday. I had to slap myself on the head, when I realized Bethany you were a day ahead of us.

Today is a dayof rest here. I finished all 4 desks yesterday and what a job. This spring fling sure is hard work, but well worth it. Even dh is impressed!!!

I plan on making it a fun day. I read late into the night last night to finish a book and want to start the sequel today. I also want to do some sewing. Because of cleaning the desks yesterday, I didn't get any done.

I also got a new book on self-sufficiency and homesteading, so want to start reading the first chapter today as well. I can't wait to start and then start posting some things here.

Heather, you can throw some of those muffins west if you want. I'll try to catch them!!

Have a wonderful day every, down on the homestead.

We ended up driving around today and everything that we saw already has a contract on it. Ugh! Dh is going to call a realtor that was suggested to us this afternoon and talk to her for a bit if possible. If it seems like we're on the same page, we're going to invite her over to interview her. We've really got to hop on it because we already got our loan approved and it's only good for 30 days (when in the world did that change??? They used to be good for 90 days when we moved here, but not any more.). Houses are selling faster than ever here now (either the day they are listed or the 2nd day). We saw sooooooooooo many people out today driving around and looking just like us. It looks like we've got no choice but to focus on an area of the county we don't really like. Prices are still decent for the most part there, but dh has been warned by our appraiser friend that it won't be long before the boom hits in that area too.

We stopped by a produce store while we were out and ds is just finishing up some strawberries. Now we're about to head out and do some yard work.

    Good morning everyone.

Today I'll be doing my grocery shopping. I think I'll be able to do most of it at the organic supermaket as I'm getting mostly thiings like rice, barley, beans and peas. They have all these things in bulk which you bag up in brown paper bags. I do have to go to the regular supermarket to get dh's hot cross buns but this is the last time I'm getting them as I'm hoping to make them myself from now on.

Cyclone Grace is hovering off the coast so it looks like we are in for a few days of heavy rain and maybe wind later in the week. We've had a lot of rain here this year. It's been great for the farmers and has broken a ten year drought. I love the rain so it's been good but I did hope to do a lot of gardening this week. It will have to wait.

    Have a lovely day, ladies.

    Good Morning!

I just need to tidy up the house today and wash a couple of loads of laundry (dog beds and linens). Other than that we'll do ds's homeschool lesson, I need to sit him down to write some more thank you cards, and we have to at some point take some things back to the library. A new realtor is coming to meet with us tonight and I don't know how that's going to go. Dh couldn't get a word in edgewise with her last night for her immediately wanting to know how many sq. ft. our house is, what year was it built, how much acreage, how many bedrooms, how many bathrooms, what size garage, indoor or garage laundry, what kind of floors, etc. Aughhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Yes, I realize that's her job, but I don't want a realtor who's so anxious about selling my house and making money that she forgets she needs to find something to sell me as well! That just didn't sit well with me, but maybe all realtors are like that. Dh also forgot to tell her that tonight is an interview for her so I hope she is not coming over with the impression that we're ready to sign her up the minute she walks through the door.

Good morning Bethany, QuilterMom and all to follow!

    Quiltermom~good luck with your interview

Back to school for ds#1 and dd. Routine is what is needed around here! The sun is shining in the windows and it's beautiful, still cold but can handle that with the sun! This morning will be ds#2 lessons, will start him off and off to wash and hang more laundry. With no dryer I have been hanging all our clothes. It has made me prune more clothes as they just aren't needed and the boys are learning REAL quick not to be putting clean clothes back in the hamper!

This afternoon I will be getting more goodies ready to take to the consignment store tomorrow plus some dusting in the livingroom and diningroom.

    Have a great day ladies!

Good morning everyone. I sure didn't want to get out of bed this morning. Its nice and sunny here this morning, but cool.

Its laundry day today, so I'll start that as soon as the kids get out of bed. Once washed, I'll hang to dry. Heather, when we went to no dryer, we got rid of lots of clothes as well. The kids learnt quickly that it took clothes longer to dry than before.

I also need to bake bread today. We only have one loaf left and I need that for soup and sandwiches for lunch.

Dh and I worked on stripping the wallpaper last nigh while the village was down. I'm almost finished, so I would like to get that done today sometime.

Otherwise, not much happening around here. The snow is melting more each day though, so soon it will be outside work for all of us.

    Have a great day everyone.

    Good Morning Everyone!

Today it is sunny out but quite chilly. brrr

I already have taken my shower so now I have to get packages ready for the mail. Thank you girls.

Then on to mission #6, this one shouldn't be too bad as I got the worst of it cleaned up yesterday.

Jack's mom fell yesterday and thinks she may have broken her ankle and toe. She never called and told us until he spoke to her this morning around 7am, so he is taking her to the doctor's this afternoon. She said she is pretty banged up and bruised and is 88 years old. Good thoughts would be appreciated.

Denise, I hope you find out what is wrong with your son. :hguz:

QuilterMom, I hope this is the realtor for you! I'm crossing my fingers.

Carolyn, CJ and Heather, want to do my laundry too while your at it??? I have about 6 loads backed up. I couldn't do the stairs and the cleaning so the laundry got pushed to the side. I'll try and get a start on it today.

    Have a wonderful day ladies!

Good morning everyone! It's a little nippy out and the sun is trying to peek out.

Last night dd got back from NCO "boot" camp and she is exhausted and every muscle is sore. The camp was better then other years; last year it was boardering on abusive. Dd said after the first day it went pretty smoothly; it's still not a picnic but it's acceptable. Once she gets up I'll probably visit with her and let her vent.

I need to get bread made today too. I cleaned the house on Saturday so I don't need to do housework.

Later this afternoon I'll be driving ds#2 to his college classes but it the mean time I better go get him working on his homeschool work. He thinks because his sister is taking the day off school that he doesn't have to do any either. Well I better go set him straight.

    Have a great day!
