Anyone enjoy wild birds?
I used to really be into wild birds and am now in the perfect location to start feeding/watching again.
Anyone have any good suet recipes or what birds are common to your area? What types of feeders do you have set up?

Hamburger grease mixed with bird seeds is an easy cheap suet feed.
I have my bird feeder beside my flower garden along with a bird bath and a small tree. I plant 1 qtr. of the garden in small sunflowers and love to watch the birds sit and eat. We have the cutest chicadees and morning doves.

My feeders are up
We went and got some new feeders today. Gabe helped me pick one of them and it's so pretty. I got a new "bow peep" pole and a hummingbird feeder too. I hung the one feeder, so my son could watch the birds frm his window. I am going to get a suet cage tomorrow, so thanks for the homemade recipe. I'm going to try it out tomorrow. I found another recipe I want to try too:
1 cup crunchy peanut butter
1 cup lard, solid shortening or meat drippings
2 cups quick cooking oats
2 cups cornmeal
1 cup white flour
The snow is finally melted and I can almost feel Spring. Wahoo!

I put up bird feeders and a bird bath. We have little families of sparrows that stay in our yard and make their nests under the eves of our house. I call them " Our Feathered Alarm Clocks"! They look so sweet but, the little stinkers squabble and fight all day long! I like to watch them from my bedroom window. Does anyone else read Birds And Blooms? That's a really great magazine if you enjoy wild birds.
