Cool We're doing our first lawn mowing of the year!

I can't believe that the grass is long enough to mow already! It's usually mid April before we have to do it. I'm hoping that this year with not having a dog any longer that the backyard will come back in grass. I'd love to be able to till everything up back there and start again, but can't afford to do that. Anyway, the mower is getting a workout today and my yard is finally getting whipped into shape!

Enjoy it Debbie, I love the smell of fresh cut grass.

We still have a few piles of snow to melt, and usually don't mow the grass until at least May.

DH mowed our Sunday and left little patches of wild bluebonnets that are springing up in the backyard. I think that spring has arrived here in North Texas. Bluebonnets and tornado watches are the true signs.

Who would ever think I would be so thrilled when I get to use the mower for the first time of the new year. We had a big snow storm a couple of weeks ago, but now the grass is turning green and growing We are getting the mower out of the barn this weekend, and doing our maintanance so that we are ready when the grass is. I don't mind mowing the grass at all, we have about two acres to mow every week, well all right, its a rider, I don't think I personally would enjoy it as much if I had to push
